๐Ÿ“œ vendor agreement

EXHIBITOR AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS

 1. All Merchants agree that during the hours of the event their tables will stay open. No early breakdown permitted without the express consent of the show promoter.

2. Merchant will receive 2 badges per table/booth and 1 additional for every additional space. Additional badges may be purchased at a discounted price. 

3. Merchant will check in to receive their badges before setting up. Merchant tables are guaranteed when full payment is received. Insufficient funds will incur a $50 charge. 

4. Merchant agrees not to damage tables, walls, or any other property. Damage caused by the Merchant is the sole responsibility of the merchant. Important note: metal cannot touch the arena floor, therefore please be sure to bring something to use as a buffer between the floor and any metal that might touch it.

 5. Every Merchant is responsible for the cleanliness of their space. If any garbage is left in your space at the end of the show the merchant will be charged $100 for the cleaning of the area.

6. Sharing of tables is not allowed without the express consent of the show promoter. If approved, the person whose name appears above on this contract assumes full responsibility for any liability. 

7. Space may not be sublet, re-sold, or given to anyone. The reason for this is that GSCF has to know who is setting up at their show at all times. 

8. Merchant agrees to comply with all state, municipal & federal requirements in connection with sales (eg: taxes).

 9. Promoter will not be held responsible for any merchandise sold by Merchant. 

10. Merchant agrees not to display ADULT material (comic books, magazines, artwork, etc.) without redacting, hiding or covering the material. 

11. GSCF reserves the right to ban any merchandise for sale or display at any time for any reason.

12. The merchant agrees to not promote any other events or appearances at GSCF without first getting GSCFโ€™s approval. This includes but is not limited to signs, displays, and postcards. 

13. Merchant agrees to hold harmless the Garden State Comic Fest and its staff from loss or damage of merchandise or injury sustained during attendance at its event. The Garden State Comic Fest, its staff, and the Codey Arena take no responsibility for items lost or stolen during the event; it is up to Merchants to carry insurance for their merchandise.

14. All Vendors agree to carry insurance throughout the event and provide proof of insurance upon request by GSCF or the venue.

In the event that the Vendor cannot provide proof of insurance GSCF shall consider this action to be a breach of the vendor agreement and will be grounds for termination.

15. All merchants will have a NJ sales tax certificate and will be charged with collecting that tax. If a merchant does not have a sales tax certificate a temporary one can be obtained at  https://business.nj.gov/pages/register-for-taxes

16. All vendors shall be considered independent contractors. This agreement does not establish an employer/employee relationship.   

 17.  All events are usually 2 or more days and will be considered a ran event as long as 1 full day takes place. If an event is canceled due to an act of God, state of emergency, or venue issue (which are the only ways a GSCF event will be canceled) and a credit or refund (decided by GSCF) is issued by the venues, advertisers, and any and all other agents that monies were given to for the event from the vendors. Those monies will be issued back to the vendors in the form of a refund or a credit to another GSCF event. This only happens if an alternate date cannot be found and a full cancellation is in effect.

18. Inappropriate behavior will result in ejection from the event without refund. (Merchants will use common sense, if you have to question an action, then you probably should not do it.) 

19. Live streaming with the intent to sell vendor products through an application must obtain prior permission from the vendors and event host.

20. No Music is to be played by vendors during show hours.

21. No selling of Airsoft and/or Fireible weapons at the event

22. No selling of Metal Swords and/or Knives at the event
