VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS. PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING:
All new and returning volunteers MUST submit a completed Volunteer Availability Registration Application to be eligible to volunteer. Even if you have volunteered at previous shows, you must submit a new application. This registration form will allow us to plan the schedule and update the email list so please fill out this form as soon as possible. You will be contacted by the end of June if you will be scheduled to volunteer.
Our main goal is to create a welcoming environment where every attendee feels valued.
We believe that each volunteer’s role is equally vital in the success of Garden State Comic Fest.
Please keep in mind that positions may require standing. Flexibility in your placement is highly appreciated and plays a significant role. Your willingness to adapt to different roles is incredibly valuable.
Thank you for generously offering your time to volunteer for the upcoming show. Your Support means a lot to us!
Some reminders:
– Must be 17 years old (proof of identification required)
– Volunteers are required to abide by all GSCF Volunteer expectations, policies and guidelines that may vary show to show but provided at the volunteer meeting prior to each event.
– Attend the mandatory meeting one week prior to each event, this may be in person, virtual or both.
– Abide by all rules and regulations by the venue.
– Abide by all federal and state laws.
– All volunteers must respect con-goers/attendees, vendors, celebrity guests/agents, and fellow volunteer members, regardless of gender, race, religion, or any other differences
Kindly complete the registration form at your earliest convenience but before May 31st, 2026. Our requirement is for a volunteer to commit to a minimum of two (2) shifts, each lasting six (6) to eight (8) hours, preferably from Saturday to Sunday. However, we may consider a limited number for volunteers for one (1) day or solely for Saturday, as it’s expected to be the busiest day of the event. By the end of May, we will notify all volunteers about their status for the show. Please note that having more flexible availability increases the likelihood of being included in the schedule.
Volunteers should refrain from promoting personal ventures or businesses while representing GSCF. As ambassadors of the convention, volunteers are expected to maintain a certain demeanor. While on duty, wearing the designated Volunteer Shirts is mandatory. Respect towards con-goers, vendors, celebrity guests, and fellow volunteers is non-negotiable, irrespective of differences in gender, race, religion, or any other factors.
In case you cannot fulfill your assigned shift, kindly inform the Volunteer Coordinator, Dennis, promptly. Failure to notify or comply with Garden State Comic Fest standards and convention policies may lead to the removal of your badge/wristband and Volunteer T-Shirt, resulting in a ban from the current convention or from volunteering at future events.
This form is for our Potential Volunteer to provide shift/time availability for GSCF.
We encourage volunteers to stay updated via our social media channels and share relevant updates prior to each show.
Thank you for generously offering your time to volunteer for the upcoming show. Your support means a lot to us!
